Message from the CEO

Helen Redford-Hernandez

I am privileged to be the CEO of the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Trust (BFLPT) and to be working with like‐minded headteachers and board members who understand how important education is to life chances and social mobility.

The BFLPT Board is determined to see a high‐performing multi‐
academy Trust which delivers exceptional and enriching learning experiences for all its children, young people and staff. We believe that by working collaboratively, we will create the educational platform on which to build the strong foundations needed for educational success. The information on this website is intended to set out how we will plan, guide and improve our schools, including those who are about to join us. There is a strong focus on improving the quality of leadership and governance, teaching and learning and on the raising of standards. For more detailed information you can follow the links to each school’s website.

We are very excited that Doncaster University Technical College (DUTC), will be joining our Trust in the new year. The development of the DUTC is something which is close to my heart as the lead educationalist involved in supporting the project since it was conceived more than 3 years ago. It will provide tremendous learning opportunities for young people, both within and beyond our Trust, and, will ensure that local businesses can confidently recruit the next generation of highly qualified employees and address the local and national skills gaps.

The Trust we have conceived is also a business model which, over the next few years, shall further deliver efficiencies and effectiveness through the growing economies of scale which will free up resource to support the front line. Retaining our focus on the delivery of a world‐class education is central to the Trust meeting its key objectives.

I am delighted to be working with such a strong board of directors who are able to provide the right level of support and challenge to ensure that our Trust is effective.

I am delighted to be working with such a strong board of directors who are able to provide the right level of support and challenge to ensure that our Trust is effective. They have an impressive skillset; each one has a track record of strong leadership in a range of educational and business contexts. The Board aspires for our Trust to be the very best by ensuring that every young person has the resource and support to fulfil their potential. The bar has been set high and we are very committed to delivering the best education, making sure that its nurturing ethos develops young people who are rounded and balanced and who are able to make a real contribution to the society in which they live.

Should you wish to join our Trust, I am more than happy to have a conversation with you. We are always looking for great teachers and leaders. We are lucky to have Hungerhill Teaching School and Kirk Sandall Infant School, the primary strategic lead school for Partners in Learning, at the centre of our Trust. We believe that to have the best you need to invest in your workforce and you would be joining an organisation that focusses relentlessly on developing and inspiring our leaders of the future.
