Brief comments on why your previous experience is relevant

I was associated with Hungerhill School and its feeder primary schools from 1985 until 2010 as a teacher and from 2008 until 2019 as governor and have therefore been involved with and experienced all the major changes and developments in education since in that period.  Until my retirement in 2010 I ran a successful department which was always judged outstanding by OFSTED and significantly contributed to the development of the school’s excellent provision and reputation. As governor and trust member I  played a significant role in decisions which  guided Hungerhill’s transition from local authority school to academy and subsequently the formation of the current MAT.

I believe the length of my service and  commitment to public education in Doncaster gives me the experience to offer a valuable perspective to the continuing development and administration of the current MAT.
